The Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry focuses on understanding soil composition, fertility and its relationship with agricultural productivity through analysis of soil, it aims to accuianted the undergraduate students to soil analysis. This department has two well established and equipped laboratories. Soil science laboratories are vital hubs for analyzing soil properties, fertility and health. Through advanced techniques and equipment, these labs help undergraduate students to understand the soil composition and nutrient levels.

DEPARTMENT OF AGRONOMY

The Department of agronomy running the UG courses as per the Vh Dean's committee recommendation as including elective courses. The all courses are taught with practical exposure in addition to theoretical aspects. By this student has first hand exposure past, present advances in the field of agronomy particularly water management, Precision farming, Natural and organic farming and the development taking place in weed Science as well. The above aspects of teaching make a student exposed and aware to face the changes in real world situations. The department has well equipped laboratories UG as per the Vh Dean's committee recommendation. The agronomy farm has an area of 11.67 ha, well laid out in hectare units. The farm has all implements for practical exposure of student as well as to carry out all farm operations on day today basis for speedy work in a mechanized manner. M. Sc. in the department of Agronomy started in the academic session 2021-22 with the intake capacity of four seats through Pre PG. The department has well furnished laboratory and other facilities to carry out research at PG level. In the academic session 2022-23 one student has been awarded degree.

The Department of Entomology has well equipped and well established Laboratory as per recommendation of Vth Deans Committee. The Department of Entomology have the Vocational courses such as DAESI, Bee keeping etc. For the students as well as unemployed rural youth of the District. The Department almost taught all the Entomological courses like Fundamentals, Rabi and Kharif pests of Cereals, Oil seeds, Pulses, Horticultural pests, Plantation crop pests, Storage pests and Rodent Management. Inspite of above courses management of Beneficial Insects like Bee- Keeping, Sericulture, Lac culture, Predators, Parasites and Mass multiplication of Beneficial insects. The students also acquainted with IPM Technology special emphasis given to the Biological control. The Department of Entomology have also sharing courses with Plant Pathology and Nematology under U G classes.

DEPARTMENT OF HORTICULTURE

In Department of Horticulture, U.G. courses is running as per fifth Dean Committee. The Department of Horticulture has two well equipped U.G. laboratory with fruit science and post harvest technology. Mother orchard (guava, custard apple, ber, acid lime, fig and lasoda) are established for conducting practical and production of quality planting material. One shade net house is established for fruit nursery management where different propagation techniques viz, cutting, budding and grafting are practiced to students. For practical exposure in protected cultivation of tomato, cucumber and capsicum, one polyhouse is also running. These all practical exercises developing entrepreneurial skills in the students for self employment. For lucid and comprehensive learning developed Practical manuals, E-practical manuals and E-Compendiums (11).

Department of Animal production, COA. Bhilwara teaching three courses in B.Sc. (Honors) Agriculture degree course one course Ruminant production and management in class B.Sc.Ag.( Honors) Part Iˢᵗ semester IIⁿᵈ and one course Non Ruminant production and management in class B.Sc. Ag. (Honors) part IIⁿᵈ semester IIⁿᵈ and one course of ELU on poultry Production in class B.Sc. Ag. ( Honors) part IVᵗʰ semester IIⁿᵈ. Department of Animal Production have a dairy unit with 6 Crossbred cows and Goatry unit and Poultry Unit with well equipped for Practical and skill facility for students and youth. During UG degree all courses provided to students practical and skill knowledge about Dairy, Goatry, Poultry and Piggery student will expertise in all enterprises they can start units after complete their degree for employment generation and become job provider if they will not get job any other fields.

The Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding has conducting the UG courses as per the Vth Dean's committee recommendations including elective courses. All the courses are taught to the students with practical exposure in addition to theoretical aspects to impart knowledge to the students on principles of genetics and apply the principles of inheritance in plant breeding for improving agricultural productivity, to impart theoretical knowledge and practical skills about major breeding objectives and procedures including conventional and modern innovative approaches for developing new crop varieties that are higher-yielding, resistant to pests and diseases, drought-resistant or regionally adapted to different environments and growing conditions, practical skills about the crops suited for quality seed production, acquaint the students about learning techniques for seed production in self and cross pollinated crops, seed certification in self and cross pollinated crops, impart knowledge to the students about the nature and scope of seed industry in India and future thrust areas, promote professional skills and knowledge through meaningful hands on experience, build confidence for working in project mode and develop enterprise management capabilities. The above aspects of teaching make the students to expose and aware to face the changes in real time situations. The department has well equipped UG laboratories with almost all laboratory equipments / instruments as per the Vth Dean's committee recommendations for practical exposure to the students.
